Dolphins at Play
Dolphins are known for being one of the most, if not the most playful creatures of the sea. Did you know they will sometimes play with pufferfish?
This playful activity is the inspiration for this extra large banana gourd ornament. The design is drawn in a Celtic style on a gourd using a burning, or pyrography pen. Colors added using acrylic and metallic ink. All of my work is one of a kind and my own design.
Hand in photo gives you a better idea of the size of this ornament, but it measures about 7 1/4" long.
Some ornaments will rattle when you shake them, that is the loose seeds inside you are hearing.
Be sure to see the photo of a banana gourd growing in the garden before it is dried for artistic use.
Care:
Please display away from direct sunlight, as this will cause the artwork to fade. A UV protection coating is applied, but it has it limitations. Treat this ornament as a miniature piece of original art, because that is what it is!
Comes with a handmade hook ready for hanging.
