Jiji Cat Bookshelf Gourd
This is a whole, uncut gourd that is meant to sit in a small space, like a bookshelf.
This is a portrait of an outdoor cat that visits our backyard that we have affectionally dubbed "Jiji". She reminded us of a black cat in a movie called Kiki's Delivery Service by Hayao Miyazaki.
The portrait is pyrography and the fall leaves in the background are done with gold leaf.
Measures 5.5" x 8"
Things to know:
This art is made from a real, natural gourd. Be sure to see the photo of a gourd growing in the garden before it is dried for artistic use. Once dried it will last as long as a piece of wood.
Please display away from direct sunlight. UV protectant sealer is applied to help prevent this, but it should be treated like any piece of valuable art.
