Koi Pond Bowl
This unique bowl has an all over design of koi fish swimming in a pond with art nouveau inspired water lilies, and little carved water bubbles.
Take a look in the gourd and you will find a koi seeming to be swimming in water inside the bowl!
The koi is painted within layers of apoxy resin that when dries resembles water. The rim is finished with pine needles.
Measures 3.5" wide x 6" high
Things to know:
This art is made from a real, natural gourd. Be sure to see the photo of a gourd growing in the garden before it is dried for artistic use. Once dried it will last as long as a piece of wood.
All art is done one at a time, by hand. Each design is drawn on with a pencil, then pyroengraved, also by hand. I do not use machines to mass produce my work.
This gourd is not meant to hold water or food. It is meant to enjoy like any other piece of artwork.
Please display away from direct sunlight. UV protectant sealer is applied to help prevent this, but it should be treated like any piece of valuable art.
